What is the Meaning of our Name – Arête Advisors?
Our company name Arête Advisors – represents the vision that we have for the value we bring to our clients. The word Arete has multiple meanings.
In Greek philosophy, Arete symbolizes excellence, the act of living to one’s full potential, and represents a person of the highest level of effectiveness. To achieve Arete one needs knowledge and wisdom. The goal of our team at Arête Advisors is to share the knowledge and wisdom from our experience and expertise to help our clients achieve excellence. Our team members strive to achieve their highest level of effectiveness and in the process help our clients achieve peak performance results.
In geology, the word Arete refers to a sharp mountain ridge. A mountaineer walking along an arete ridgeline can be exposed. Similarly, as our clients embark on new terrain in business there can be risk and exposure, and our team at Arête Advisors works to help guide our clients through their journey and achieve excellence.
In mountain climbing, the term Arête is used to describe a climbing technique where the climber uses a corner of a rock as an aid to climb higher. Arête Advisors team strives to be the cornerstone for our clients and help them climb higher and achieve their goals.
